Earn

Farcaster Members Earn Rewards through their actions on Farcaster.

Some rewards are fully dependent on actions by the earner. Others are dependent on the actions of others.

For example:

• A Member can earn Rewards when they try a product: fully controlled by earner

• A Member can earn Rewards based on who engages with their content: dependent on the actions of others

• A Developer can earn Rewards based on how many Members engage with their Frames: dependent on the actions of others

Earnings are verified from onchain (e.g. Base, Optimism blockchains, Farcaster Hubs) and offchain sources (e.g. Warpcast APIs, 3rd party APIs). Whenever possible the protocol defaults to onchain sources. Over time our hope is that all earning is onchain.

Once earned, Rewards are paid out according to the rules set in the Payouts contracts.
